the story of stuff

This video is all about the process of a regular product from the beginning to the end. According to the video, the process is divided into 5 basic steps which are: extraction, production, distribution, consumption and disposal. Each step has its own problems such as the running out of resources at the first step, or the containing toxic of the production, or the exploiting of workers of the third step and the pollution into the land water or air of the disposal. Generally, the scene seems really bad. However, we can change it because all of the problems are from ourselves, our behavior. We have to recycle all of the stuff that we can. Beside that, we have to make the whole process become "green" which means not harm environment by sustainability, using green energy.

I think this video is such a valuable evidence which proves that the affects of globalization on global warming. As we can see, through the video, it discussed mainly about two problems which are the bigger consumption of consumers and the loss of climate. The more consumers need, the more products will be produced. Consequently, the climate will be harmed more.

And how about in Vietnam? Is it the same situation that it is described in the video? I mean by that, do you feel different from the Americans which are described like over consumers?

yes It's truth. This video is an evidence of how much the globalization can affect our environment. As Melanie wrote, I want to know about your personal experience and the experience in your country. Do vietnamese people buy many things all the time like americans?

thinking simply, human beings are greedy which is a major reason for the change of consumer market. How about the consumer habits of people who are same age as you in vietnam?
